Gerald Anthony Weinandt Gerald “Jerry” Weinandt, 41, passed away December 17, 2011 in his home in Olympia, Washington. He was born April 1, 1970 to Stephen and Susan Weinandt in Tacoma, Washington. He served in the U.S. Navy, received a BS in Biology from St. Martin’s College, and married Elizabeth “Liz” Ricci (Ikerd) on December 3, 2005. He worked for the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. Jerry loved reading, jogging, fishing and spending time with his wife and daughters. He especially enjoyed camping with his family, at Salt Creek Recreation Area in Clallam County, Washington. Gerald is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; “children of his heart,” Cassandra and Bethany Ricci; sisters, Kristin Baker of Adna, WA, and Kayleen Chrisman of Rio Rancho, NM; parents, Stephen and Susan Weinandt of Adna; grandmothers, Kathryn Byasse of Spanaway and Loretta Weinandt of Brewster, MN. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Weinandt. Services will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2109 College St. SE, Lacey, Washington on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made on Gerald Weinandt’s behalf at Olympia Federal Savings.
