Gloria Mary Helms, 86 of Largo, FL passed away on Saturday September 14th, 2013. She was born in Scranton Pennsylvania on December 17th, 1926. She graduated from Cass Tech in Detroit, Michigan with high honors. She was married to Macklyn Fisk Helms of Mancelona, Michigan. Gloria was very active in single clubs, card clubs, the Largo Women's Club and many others. Throughout her life she had many careers including a Full Time Mother and Wife, Treasurer of several organizations and Executive Secretary. She gave birth to three children, Mark Steven Helms of Largo, FL.; Matthew Edward Helms recently deceased of Detroit, Michigan and Michael John Helms of Sterling Heights, Michigan. Gloria had one Granddaughter Megan Renee Helms of Largo, FL. Funeral arrangements will be held in Mancelona, Michigan mid-October for extended family. The family asks that any contribution be made in the name of Gloria Mary Helms to the Saint Jude Children Hospital or your local hospice center.
