Gregory McFarland
October 16th, 1960 - May 23rd, 2011
Gregory McFarland was born on Long Island, NY, October 16th, 1960. He was a graduate of State University of NY at Stony Brook University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Masters Degree in Computer Science. After employment at Northrop Grumman, he moved to Florida were he founded High Point Trade and was recently employed at Securboration. Greg was a member of Suntree United Methodist Church. Greg is survived by his beloved wife Jill, and his loving children Parker, Elynor and Lorayne McFarland; mother Linda Giles; brother Scott McFarland; sister Susan Hanson and brothers, Gary, David and Adam Giles; mother-in-law and father-in-law , Rose and Randy Thron; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Lori Anderson; in-laws, Todd and Candace Anderson, Dane and Devin Anderson, Phillip and Jen Thron, and Nick and Stephanie Thron and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts Carolyn Ludmar, Mary Ellen Riek and Frances Gebhard. Family will receive friends at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Homes in Viera, FL on Thursday May 26th, 2011 from 6 till 8pm. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Friday May 27, 2011 at Suntree United Methodist Church, 7400 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Suntree United Methodist Church in the name of the McFarland Children.
