Mr. Horace Lee Patterson, Sr. age 77, passed away on June 21, 2014 at his home. He was born in Quincy, Florida on September 24, 1936 to the late Hosie and Mary Loulena Richardson Patterson. In addition to his parents, Horace was predeceased by his brother, one sister, two sons, and beloved wife of 50 years, Beatrice Gee Patterson. Horace enjoyed working in his yard and listening to music. He seemed to have a natural talent for playing the keyboard and loved to play the "blues." Horace also loved to read the Bible, and dedicated his life to Jehovah God on July 18, 1975, As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Horace loved to share Bible truths to others, Even though Horace was ill, he derived great pleasure from discussing God’s word with all who visited him. Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Margaret (Thomas), Calvin, Jennette, Elizabeth, Betty, Joyce (James), Evelyn, Geneva (Harold), Wanda and Ronnie. He also leaves one sister, Lela Mae Baker (Miami, FL), two sisters-in-law Margaret Ivey (Quincy, FL), Ethel Mae Gee (Sanford, FL) and two brothers-in-law, Burnette Gee (Jacksonville, FL), Truman Gee (Quincy, FL), 35 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his friends and neighbors: Cooper, West, Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Green, and Mr. and Mrs. Tyson; as well as his spiritual family, Johnnie Boykins, Phil Hines, Anthony Johnson, Charlie Green, James Green, Richard Grayson and Bobbie Trotman. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3804 Danny Bryan Road, Tampa, FL at 3:00 pm. The family would like to offer a word of thanks to friends, family, and the hospice team, Indigo Blue for all of their love and support.
