James Anthony Bostwick 1934 - 2019 James “Jim” Anthony Bostwick, age 84, passed away at his home in Puyallup WA surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 22,2019. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley (Preston) Bostwick, who was the light of his life, his 7 children that were his pride and joy. Jacob Bostwick (Patty), Frances Bostwick, Mitchell Bostwick (Robin), Jill Neumeister (Vaughn), Peter Bostwick, Douglas Preston and Kathy Preston. 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild that he adored. His sisters Patricia Pospisil, Gloria Morris (Richard) and Mary Bostwick as well as many nieces and nephews. Jim was born on December 31, 1934 in Fargo, North Dakota, son of Richard and Clara Bostwick. Jim joined the US Army in 1957 and was Honorably discharged in 1963. Jim joined the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union Local 82 in 1951 and was a proud member until he retired in 1996. He was also a life time member of the VFW Post 2224 as well as a life time member of the Puyallup Eagles Aerie 2308. Jim was a ray of sunshine where ever he went and a friend with whomever he met. He had a dynamic sense of humor and a smile that would warm your heart. Jim left this world a much better place and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Richard and Clara Bostwick, his siblings Richard, Thomas, William, Renee and Nancy. Ken Preston and his grandson Nicholas Cameron. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 9:00am to 10:30am. Memorial Service will be held from 10:30am to 11:30am at Hills Funeral Home located at 217 E Pioneer Way Puyallup WA 98372. There will be a Celebration of his life following the Service from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the Puyallup Eagles located at 202 5th St NW, Puyallup WA 98371. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 3 2019 at 1:00pm at Tahoma National Cemetery located at 18600 SE 240th St, Kent WA 98042.
