James (Jim) David Earp
February 27th, 1949 - November 4th, 2023
Jim passed away peacefully on November 4, 2023. He is predeceased by his father Charles A. Earp. He is survived by his mother Dot, brother Bill and wife Ruthie, nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Jim was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015 from President Obama for 35 years of volunteer service at Discovery Place and again in 2018 by President Trump for 55 years of service in the Boy Scouts. Graveside service will be held 2 PM November 13, 2023 at Steele Creek Church at 9407 Steele Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28217.
