James Lee Roper

James Lee Roper of Portales New Mexico passed away at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock Texas on June 14, 2022. James was born on March 22, 1985, in Portales New Mexico to Carol Ann and Charles Lee Roper. James was raised in Portales and Corona New Mexico. He was very shy but would look at you with those amazing blue eyes and a big smile. He always tried to make others laugh and even though he was going through tough times, he protected and helped others. Through his life gift of donating organs, he will live on through three other people. James is preceded in death by hos brother-in-law James Enriquez, Mother Carol Ann Roper and Father Charles Lee Roper. James is survived by three sisters and three brothers. Carol Roper Casados and Anthony Casados of Albuquerque NM, Steven Roper of Los Lunas NM, Kimberly Husman Enriquez of Tucumcari NM, Donnie and Ellen Roper of Quemado NM, Tammy Husman of Nara Visa NM and Bobby Roper of Elephant Butte NM, numerous nephews and nieces and many friends who loved and watched over him. In lieu of flowers please consider the ultimate life gift organ donation in his honor. A private memorial service will be held by the family.
