James Thomas Schwarz

James Thomas Schwarz, 60, died July 16, 2016 in Melbourne, FL, from complications of colon cancer. James was born September 15, 1955 in Omaha, NE. He was the son of the late John and Mae (Chocole) Schwarz, of Chicago, IL. He earned dual high school diplomas in Omaha and Toronto, then attended the University of Wyoming on a music scholarship, where he met and married his wife of 38 years, Kay Rerucha. He graduated with a BS in accounting. After they were married in Laramie, WY in 1978, Jim and Kay moved to Atlanta, GA, where they lived until they moved to Melbourne, FL in 1998. Jim was the VP of Sales and Marketing at Call One, Inc., the industry leader in communication and IT services, headquartered in Cape Canaveral, FL. His passions were family and music. He supported the community through his involvement with his children's sports, dance and music careers for 27 years. He is survived by his wife, Kay; children, Mark, (Meredith) and granddaughter, Lainey, Nutley NJ, Alison (Augie) Haas, New York, NY; Zack, a senior at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA; and Matt, who graduated from Viera High School in May and will be a freshman at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, this fall; 3 brothers, Jack (Gaye), Indianapolis, IN; Bill (Anne), Mooresville, NC; Bob (Jane), Blue Eye, MO; a twin sister, Sue ( Jim) Newman, in Knoxville, TN; 3 siblings-in-law, John (Mollie) Rerucha, Fredericksburg, VA; Cal (Jan) Rerucha, Laramie, WY; and Kim (David) McIrvin, Laramie, WY; 22 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being made by Beach Funeral Homes and Cremation Services. Mass for his intention was celebrated by Father James McEnery, Sunday, July 17, 2016. A private service for the immediate family was held in Melbourne, FL on July 18, 2016, and a private burial will be July 29, 2016. A celebration in his honor is planned for July 30, 2016.
