Janet was born March 28, 1933 to John L. and Helen Donahue in Waukegan, Illinois. She married Raymond F. Basten in 1955. Janet died October 31, 2015 at home in her sleep. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Geraldine and Patricia; brothers, John, Michael, Robert, and David.She is survived by her husband Raymond; brothers, Thomas and Howard, and sisters Rosalie, Mary Lee, and Sharon; sons, Robert, Michael, and James; daughter; Paula, several nephews, nieces and grandchildren. She graduated from Waukegan Township High School and was employed at Victory Memorial Hospital before becoming a housewife and volunteer at Penrose Community Hospital, and Fort Carson Catholic Chapel.
