Bonsey, Jean Baily 85, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA. Jean graduated from Ashley Hall in Charleston, SC. In addition to her deep love of her family, she had a passion for animals of all kinds throughout her life. Friends and family members quipped that Jean could never have enough pets. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, John Bonsey, November 2015, and her son, James Bonsey, November 2010. She is survived by her sons, John Jr., David, and Daniel; daughters, Brenda Shiflett and Diane Caronongan (Bobby); daughter-in-law, Debi Bonsey Spriggs; granddaughters, Victoria Jiencke, Amy Freda, Leah Bonsey, Angela Tribou, Nicole Moss, Amber Ford, Jeani Shwartz, Kelly Hawkins , Michelle Adams, and Dawnese Hawkins; 17 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's name to Suncoast Hospice. There will be a visitation on Sunday, February 28, from 6-7PM at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK St N, St. Petersburg 33704, and a funeral mass on Monday, February 29, at 10AM at St. Raphael's Catholic Church.
