Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
Jeremy Handrinos
June 3rd, 1988 - July 8th, 2022
Jeremy Michael Handrinos, of Cape Cod, MA and Venice, FL went home to the Lord on Friday, July 8th, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was the loving father of two daughters, Jemma and Aria, and the son of Kristine Handrinos of Venice, and John Handrinos of Mashpee, MA. Jeremy was an avid, sometimes fanatical sports fan, playing on champion softball teams with his father and brothers, the church softball league, involved in Sunday School Youth Group, and the town recreational basketball coach. He just loved watching and playing all sports, and equally loved fishing and gardening and other activities. Anything he did, he did it great or with gusto, or he didn’t do it at all. “Go Big or Go Home” or “Hey, if you can’t hang with the big boys” with a shrug and a laugh. He participated in mission trips and passion festivals. He was always a comedian, a cut-up, saying or doing anything to get a laugh, or provoke a laugh or response. He was relentless competitor; “I’m the best, you know it, say it, admit it!” was a typical Jeremy declaration always to a round of laughter. A casual fishing outing had to come with rules, rules he made up and changed frequently. There was nothing he couldn’t turn funny or competitive. Nothing was boring when Jeremy was around or involved, he could make a match of curling exciting or funny. A diehard fan of the 49ers, and always wore #23. He was an animated storyteller, sometimes with epic and hilarious embellishments, always to make others laugh, even if he himself was hurting. Jeremy, above anything, truly loved his two daughters, Jemma and Aria! They meant everything to him! They were his heartbeat! Jeremy was about God, family, and friends. He was “Uncle Booby” to his nieces whom he loved dearly, a nickname so apt and fitting. Jeremy had a dynamic personality who touched the heart and souls of everyone he ever met. He will long be missed but remembered forever. Jeremy is survived by his two daughters, Jemma and Aria; his father, John; mother, Kristine; brothers, Alan, John, and Justin; grandmother, Lois Fassio, aunts and uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews; and many friends. There will be a Celebration of Life service held at New Life Assembly of God (5800 S Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34293) on July 23, 2022 at 2pm. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is in charge of arrangements.
