Joaquin M. Alvarez, Sr., passed away on October 26, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born on January 4, 1939 in Chiapas, Mexico. He worked in agriculture at Gold Coast for over 20 years. Joaquin is survived by his wife, Blanca Alvarez of Salinas; daughters, Sonia (Marco) Bravo of Murrieta and Maria (Hugo) Robles of Salinas, son, Joaquin, Jr. (Gloria) Alvarez of Soledad; along with numerous grandchildren and other loving relatives. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2013 10am at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.
