June 16th, 1966 - February 24th, 2017
John Charles Archer, age 50, of Sarasota, passed away on February 24, 2017. He was born in Bethpage, NY on June 16, 1966, and came to the Venice area in 1974. John was a Venice High School graduate and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from USF. He earned his law degree at Stetson University and practiced law in the Venice area for many years. He is survived by his former wife, Valerie; daughter Emma and son Benjamin; brothers Tom, Andy and Larry and sister Debbie. John was preceded in death by his parents, George and Grace, and by brothers Don, Georgie and Mike. A memorial gathering will be held at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, on Saturday, March 11th from 3-5 pm. Memorial donations can be made to an education fund which is being established for the children.
