John Charles Balazs, 93, of Land O' Lakes, passed away on October 11, 2023. John was born on October 30, 1929 to John and Elizabeth in Woodbridge, NJ. In 1947, John graduated from Perth Amboy High School and went on to join the Navy, retiring from service in 1979. In 1963, John met Maryann. John and Maryann had two children, John Jr and Steve. Following his retirement from the Navy, he kickstarted a fulfilling10-year career with the State of New Jersey. John continued his education, earning his bachelor's degree in Science at Southern Illinois University. John's spent his retirement volunteering his time in the Coast Guard Auxiliary for 22 years. John was predeceased by his son John Jr. John is survived by his son Steve, his granddaughter Deanna and his great grandchildren Victoria, Joshua, and Ethan.
