John Moreno
March 20th, 1924 - July 19th, 2010
John Frank Moreno passed away Monday, July 19, 2010 in Carmichael at the age of 86 years. He was born March 20, 1924 to Juan and Rose (Gonzales) Moreno in Sacramento, CA. John married Fumiko Saito in April 1954 at a military chapel in Tokyo, Japan. John was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army for 23 years. He served one tour of duty in the Korean War and two tours in the Vietnam War. John was a member of the VFW, Purple Heart Society, POW/MIA Society, and the Disabled American Veterans Society. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Fumiko Moreno of Plymouth; sons and daughters-in-law, Benard Antonio and Denise Moreno, Michael John and Carol Moreno, Rocky George and Maria Moreno all of Plymouth; brother, Tony Moreno of Plymouth; sister, Ella Emerson of Plymouth; and 8 grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, July 31 at 2:00 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson. Private inurnment will be in the Plymouth Cemetery in Plymouth.
