Col. John Fisher “”Jack”” Wylam, 81 died Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Colonel Wylam was born in Toledo Ohio. He graduated from Ohio University with a degree of Mechanical Engineering and retired from the Air Force after 23 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Ohio Masons for sixty years and he was a Shriner, a member of the First Presbyterian Church for over 30 years. He was predeceased by his parents, John P.Wylam and Celia I. Wylam, his true love Ann D.Wylam and his sister, Natalie Myers. Colonel Wylam is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth A McCrary, his son Lt. Col. John M. Wylam and four grandchildren, Emily Wylam, Katie McCrary, J. Andrew Wylam and Jay McCrary. Visitation will be at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, January 22 from 7:00 PM-9:00 PM and services will be in the chapel at Heritage on Monday, Jan 23 at 7:00PM. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date with full military honors. John will be missed but will live on in the legacy of love that he left behind. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
