Joyce McShea was a testament to the meaning of her name. Her joy filled the hearts of many. Her uplifting words of encouragement showed her faith in us and her unwavering faith in God's promises. She was born in Fulton, NY on May 19th, 1927 to Hester Ann Balch and George Austin Skinner. At the age of 19 she met and married Frank Kreisel in Woodbridge, NJ and they were blessed with two sons, Frank and Kurt Kreisel. She was later blessed again with her marriage to Francis Joseph McShea (Mickey) in Syracuse, NY, and they became proud parents of Mickey's son and two girls, James, Francine and Heather McShea. The McShea family moved to Tucson, AZ in the spring of 1965. Mickey's hobby was music and Joyce shared that passion. Joyce enjoyed attending his orchestra's performances at military bases, the Ponderosa Lodge on Mt. Lemmon, and other venues around Arizona. Together they cherished 12 years of marriage until Mickey's death in 1972. Joyce had a tremendous love for people from all over the world. She thoroughly enjoyed the lasting friendships she made with people of all backgrounds, faiths, and cultures. She opened her home to international students and friends. Many of them also call her Mom. The look of suspicion on the faces of hospital staff at the mosaic of "family" faces over the years was priceless. Joyce was a faithful and knowledgeable Christian woman who showed Christ-like forgiveness, kindness, love and generosity to everyone equally. Her relationship with our Lord was and is steadfast and constant. She was called the "Prayer Warrior" because of her dedication and faith in prayer. She prayed continuously for her family, friends, acquaintances, our country and even people that might be in the ambulance roaring by... you get the picture, Her faith was so strong that she didn't just ask, she knew that our Lord would respond according to His will. Her family is truly blessed. Her earthly tasks were completed on July 4th, 2015, when she was called home. Her spirit will never leave those that loved her. Thank you Mom, for your love, commitment, and faithfulness. Those left to Cherish her most fond memories: Children: Frank Kreisel, Kurt Kreisel, James McShea, Francine McShea and Heather McShea Grandchildren: Chrissy Kreisel, Colleen Kreisel, Michael Kreisel, Charles Kreisel, Sean McShea, Rachel Schickling McShea, Kelsi McShea and Christian McShea, all of whom she is very proud.
