Kathleen, "Kathy", Mary Hoeft, of Auburndale was called to rest with the Lord on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the age of 57, as a result of natural causes. Kathy was a native of Detroit, MI, born on June 15, 1957. She and her husband Walter moved to Auburndale in 1985 from Detroit. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Winter Haven and worked as a Registered Nurse for Heart of Florida Hospital. She was a beloved caregiver to her family and members of the community, and her presence will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Wally, her son and daughter-in-law Tim and Meggie Hoeft of Lakeland, her daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Gaston Coello of Jacksonville, two brothers, Karl Awiszus of Cape Coral, FL, and Kurt Awiszus of Detroit, her sister, Suzie Awiszus of Detroit, and her mother, Betty Awiszus of Winter Haven. Visitation will be Sunday, November 23rd from 4-6 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Grace Lutheran Church, with visitation one hour prior. Reception immediately to follow at Grace Lutheran Church.
