Warner Robins, Georgia- Kathleen Louise Kjeldgaard, 83, went home to be with her personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. A rosary service will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 6:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation for family and friends will be held immediately following the rosary service from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. A Funeral Mass honoring the life of Kathleen will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 300 S Davis Dr. Warner Robins, GA 31088. Mrs. Kathleen Kjeldgaard will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Lt. Col. Louis Kjeldgaard on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Andersonville National Cemetery at 2:00PM. Kathleen was born on January 30, 1939 to the late Charles W. Bane and Mary Catherine Mackenna Bane. Kathleen was a very loving woman who cared for those she adored for. She was a woman of faith who served the Lord her God with all of her Soul, Mind, and Strength while being a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Kathleen believed in being active within the community and she did so by being the secretary of the Retired Officers Auxiliary as well as being a very involved member of the Officer’s Spouses Club at Robins Air Force Base. Kathleen had also served her country as a civilian for many years as a civilian secretary at Robins Air Force Base where she had organized countless tasks and projects for numerous of departments. In addition to her parents there, awaiting for Kathleen at the gates of heaven is her beloved husband, Lt. Col. Louis Kjeldgaard. Left to cherish the beautiful memory that Kathleen leaves behind is her beloved Children: Michael Kjeldgaard (Karen), David Kjeldgaard (Margaret), Kevin Kjeldgaard (Cindy), Mark Kjeldgaard and Patrick Kjeldgaard (Kim); Grandchildren, David (Tisha), Brian, Andrew (Dawn), Emily, Dana, Aaron, Ian, Reese, Zoe and Layla; Great-grandchildren, Noah and Asher sons of Brian Kjeldgaard. Kathleen is also survived by a host of many extended family members and countless friends. The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund, 300 S Davis Dr. Warner Robins, GA 31088.
