Kathleen L. Mason

Kathleen (Kathy) Luffman Mason, 72, of Belleview, Florida passed away October 30, 2023 at her home. She was born on November 25, 1950 in Ocala, Florida, the daughter of Luther and Alice Luffman. Kathy graduated from Lake Weir High School in 1968, then went on to graduate from the University of Central Florida and was a lifelong Knights fan. She worked for many years at Stanton-Weirsdale Elementary School as a devoted teacher and administrator. Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, William Douglas Mason; children, Patricia Latta and William Douglas Mason Jr.; stepdaughter, Laura Peterson; son-in-law, Scott Latta; daughter-in-law, Jessica Mason; grandchildren, Alice Mason, Owen Latta, William Mason, and James Mason; siblings, John Olin, Jenny Lind Olin, Mary Ann Mills, and Jim Luffman; and many more family members and friends. Kathy loved life and had many hobbies and interests. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved traveling, crafting, antiquing, her cats, and spending time with her lifelong friends who she lovingly called her “Pasta Fairies”. She was an example of strength and living for every day. She will be dearly missed.
