Larry L. Story

Larry L. Story, 73, passed away in Frankfort, Kentucky on January 13, 2024. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Louis Franklin Story and Betty Day Anderson Story. Larry worked in sheet metal for most of his life, up until the last 18 years where he worked at Bluegrass Station. He loved UK basketball, horse racing, the beach, coaching and playing softball, but more than anything he loved his family. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Krista Faris Story, along with his daughter Emma Elizabeth, the joy of his life. He is also survived by his two special nieces Allison (Derrick) Nix and Sara Story, his three other nieces Lauren (Wes) Long, Macie Faris and Harper Faris, his nephew Rhett Faris, his great-niece Ava Nix, his great-nephews Garrison Story, Sebastian Story,Derrin Nix and Dray Nix, his aunt Patsy Welman, his cousins Rick (Melissa) Welman and Lisa (Ron) Riedyk, his in-laws, Billy and Murray Faris, and his siblings by marriage Melba Story, Kevin and Amber Faris and Bill and Bernadette Faris. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his great-nephews, Cade & Wyatt Story. The family will host a Celebration of Life at Clark Legacy Center in Frankfort, Friday, January 19, 2024 from 4pm-7pm. They have asked you to come casual and wear your favorite Kentucky Wildcats gear. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider donating to the Kentucky ALS Foundation.
