Lee E. Michaelis
September 5th, 1960 - August 1st, 2024
Lee Edward Michaelis of Mukwonago passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024, at the age of 63. Born in Waukesha, WI on September 5, 1960, to parents David and Mary Jane (Knutson) Michaelis.
A long-time resident of Waukesha and a beloved member of the community, Lee was a hard-worker and dedicated over 43 years as a welder for Waukesha Foundry and SPX Flow.
Lee dearly loved his grandchildren, thrifting, and appreciating classic cars. He enjoyed and actively supported his brother’s car club, The Wanderers.
Lee will be deeply missed by his daughter, Shelby (Cameron Kubsch) Michaelis, and his cherished grandchildren, Jaycee and Reese Kubsch. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Dean (Sherry) Michaelis, Gary Michaelis, Greg Michaelis, David (Nora) Michaelis, Michele (Paul) Neilson; stepsister Sandy Steiner; and brother-in-law Jay Janny.
He is preceded in death by his son, Justin Michaelis; his parents, David and Mary Jane; stepmother Mabel Steiner; and his siblings, Chris Janny and Chad Michaelis.
A visitation for Lee will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the start of services at 1:00 p.m. at Cesarz Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in honor of his son, Justin.
