Leland Roy Witt Leland Roy Witt passed way, at home on April 8, 2016, at the age of 83. He was born on September 26, 1932 in North Platte, Nebraska, to Roy and Bell Witt. He married Beth Eileen Stout on June 8,1952 in Grant, Nebraska. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington. He graduated from Kearney State Teachers College in 1959. He taught Industrial Arts in Eugene School District from 1965 until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the Eugene Church of Christ for 50 yrs and served as an Elder for 31 yrs. Along with his great love for his family and dogs (Dachshunds were his favorite), he was an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhusker and Oregon Duck football teams. He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters and 1 brother. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beth Witt; daughter Debbie Harris of Eugene; son Dan Witt (Kim) of Eugene, daughter Dixie Bever (Ralph) of Vancouver, WA; daughter Denise Beekman (Mark) of Gresham; grandchildren, Joe Bever (Laura); Courtney Marshall (Billy); Elisha Griffin (Tim); Kristofer Harris (Katie); Ashli Koehler (Tom); Lincoln Witt (Veronica); Alyssa Carlson (Jake); Andrea Beekman; Andrew Beekman; 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Public viewing will be held April 22,2016 10:00-12:00 at Musgroves Mortuary, 2255 Danebo. Celebration of his life will be held at the Eugene Church of Christ, April 22, 2016 @ 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mountain States Children's Home, P.O. Box 1097, Longmont ,CO 80502.
