Lelon Henton Brazell, 82, of Hopkins, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Lexington Medical Center. He was born in June 1935 in Columbia, South Carolina to Lee and Katie Brazell. Lelon is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Connie Brazell; four children, Leon Henton (Marie) Brazell, Elizabeth (Tim) Todd, Richard Lee (Debra) Brazell and Christopher (Frances) Brazell; his sister, Ruth Hughes; six grandchildren, Trevor, Tiffany, Hunter, Tim, Noah and "Little-Bit" Mackenzie; and three great grandchildren Austin, Hailey and Ayden. Lelon loved his family, his music and his church family and will be remembered for being passionate about all three. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin, Thomas and Raymond; and sister, Myrtle. The family will receive friends at Horrell Hill Independent Baptist Church on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at Horrell Hill Independent Baptist Church on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 1 p.m. with Reverend Randy Moore and Reverend Glenn Frye officiating. Interment will be in Horrell Hill Independent Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
