Lena Jean North passed away June 25, 2017 in Olympia, Washington, where she was born 33 years earlier to Jerry and Patti North on October 27, 1983. Over the years, she also lived in Puyallup, Rainier and Yelm, Washington. Lena attended Yelm High School and Seattle Blind School. While at the Blind School she met her beloved fiancé, Michael Russell. Lena had a big heart, was very thoughtful of others, and she loved to visit and talk. She was full of faith and, even with all of her health problems, she never asked “Why me?” Lena enjoyed being a homemaker, and loved music, being outdoors, and camping. She is survived by her fiancé, Michael Russell; son, David Leeper; father, Jerry North, and his wife, Joyce; her mother, Patti Goodchild; brothers, Kevin Sylvester and Jeffery Goodchild; and sister, Mattea Goff. She was predeceased by grandparents, Jean and Richard Walker, Lorrane “Bessie” Flick, and Thomas North; and stepfather, Glenn Goodchild.
