Age 90 WWII Veteran Born 12/20/1922 in Bowlus, MN. Died 9/24/2013 in St. Paul, MN. Preceded in death by the love of his life, Rose Edna Pierce Schwintek; daughter-in-law Wendy Birr Schwintek; & 4 brothers Del, Howard & Clem Schwintek; & Jack Bobick. Survived by children Linda (Jim) Shober, Tom, Mike, Robert & Cindy (John) Gomez; special friend & work partner, Steve McCullough; grandchildren Lynnea Rose (Brent) Allen, Nathan, Josh, Jenny, Angela, Brian & Scott Schwintek, Amy & Katie Gomez, Michael (Ashley Rose) & Ashley Renae Schwintek; 9 great grandchildren Jordan Rose, Alexandria, Ivan, Madisyn Rose, Cadence, Isaac, Kaden Leo, Finnegan & Elijah; 1 great great grandson, Adrian Leo, to be born in October; sisters Evelyn Vruno & Marie Dirtzu; brothers Conrad, Bob & Joe Bobick; many relatives & friends. Visitation Saturday (9/28) 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with Memorial Service 2:00 PM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul. Private interment. Thank you to the entire staff at Regions Hospital.
