Linda Barrett
June 16th, 1947 - March 4th, 2021
Linda Barrett of Columbia SC passed away suddenly on March 4, 2021, much to the shock and devastation of her family and friends. Linda was born June 16, 1947 in Livingston, Tennessee. She has been a SC resident for over 40 years. She was a loyal, caring, much loved, and dedicated employee in the opthamology field for 30 + years. She was a member of Lower Richland Church of Christ for over 35 years and also had reguarly attended Church of Christ Airport Rd. in recent years. Her parents Roscoe and Nina Hammock, her brother Bernard Hammock, sister June Hammock Skiba as well as her granddaughter Megan Justice all precede her. She leaves behind three children Monica Barrett Justice, Lisa Diane Barrett and Michael Brian Barrett. Four grandchildren River, Cody, Matthew, and Kayelee. Two great-grand children Kayden and Jayda as well as numerous nieces' and nephews'. A celebration of life service will be held this Sunday @ StoneBridge Garden and event center @ 3506 Bush River Rd. Columbia SC from 2-4 with a honor of life service to begin at 3. As her favorite season was Spring (which happens to begin this weekend) and favorite color Blue her family asks that you dress in vibrant colors or blue in her honor. The wonderful employees @ Lexington Florists @ 1100 W. Main St. Lexington SC are helping with any flowers you may like to order and send. They ask that all orders be placed by 12:30 on Saturday to be delivered on Sunday for the service. Her family welcomes all who knew Linda as the wonderful woman she was, to come celebrate her life with them on Sunday March 21, 2021.

Greenlawn Memorial Park
Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
