Lorraine Frances Peller
March 10th, 1932 - September 5th, 2024
PELLER, Lorraine F., née Carney Age 92, passed on to the great beyond on September 5, 2024. Born in Milwaukee, WI to Thomas F. and Mayme Amanda Wagmer Carney. Preceded in death by her parents, son Matthew and husband Ted. Survived by son Tom (Kathy), daughter Beth, son Jeff, son Dan (Marybeth); grandchildren Lexi (Sam), Alli, Emily, Matt (Hannah) and Nick (Cortney); great grandchildren Miles, Maggie, Teddy, and Emma Lorraine; sister Mary Russell. Lorraine grew up in Milwaukee, WI and moved to Denver, CO in 1953 where she met her husband, Ted. In 1957, they moved to the Merriam Park neighborhood in St. Paul where she remained until her death. Lorraine attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a major in history. She loved to write and contributed a monthly column on the history of the neighborhood to the Merriam Park Post. Lorraine was a world traveler and sought adventure wherever she went. She gave over 40 years of volunteer service to St. Joseph’s Hospital and was involved with Saint Mark’s CCW. Lorraine was always finding ways to make the community a better place. Our heartfelt appreciation to Our Lady of Peace Hospice and many, many friends, and neighbors. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., Church of Saint Mark, 2001 Dayton Ave, St. Paul, with a light lunch to follow. Private Interment at Fort Snelling Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Union Gospel Mission St. Paul (http://give.ugmtc.org, Our Lady of Peace Hospice MN (https://ourladyofpeacemn.org/donate/), or donor’s choice.
