Mabel Loretta Patterson, age 72, of Payette, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Tuesday, Dec. 9th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. A viewing will be from 10 am to 12 pm (noon) prior to services. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Condolences may be made to Mabel's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Mabel was born April 24, 1942 in Joseph, Oregon to Sam and Lizzie Grace (Ager) Davis. She was the youngest of nine children. Mabel loved all animals, especially horses and being outdoors. She attended schools in Joseph and Boardman, Oregon. Mabel married Homer Leslie Dollar, Jr. in 1960. They have five children: Deborah Jean Douglas, Diana Lynne Berry, John Henry Dollar, Lisa Rae Dollar Shinaver, and James Andrew Dollar. She was step-mother to: Elizabeth Grace Wiley, Eva Leslie Snider, and Homer Leslie Dollar III. In 1972, Mabel married Ralph Darvin Lee. They have one son, Ralph (R.D.) Darvin Lee, Jr. Mabel married William (Bill) Albert Patterson in 1986 and has been happily married 28 years. Mabel worked at Ore-Ida and Simplot making lifelong friends. She and Bill enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing, camping, hunting, horseback riding, gardening, antiquing, and taking trips in their motorhome together. Mabel loved spending time with her family, listening to music, studying her Bible, genealogy work, reading, knitting, learning to crochet, and she taught herself to play the piano. She particularly enjoyed creating and sewing beautiful patchwork quilts. Mabel took great pleasure in being a part of the lives of her family. She leaves a legacy of common-sense, strong work ethic, and family unity to all those who loved and knew her. She will be greatly missed. Mabel is survived by her husband, Bill Patterson, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brother Walter Davis, her sister Ellenor Lee, and numerous relatives. Service Details.
