Mrs. Mae C. Smith, age 95, of Bleecker, died Sunday, April 21, 2024, at her home. She was born April 15, 1929, in Huntington, Long Island NY, the daughter of Edwin and Georgia (Noyes) Frey. She was employed as an accounting clerk by Rockland Community College, Suffern NY, until she retired. Mae was a member of the Bleecker Community Church. Survivors include five children, Beverly Cooper, Valerie Finch, Pam Mihok, Amber Fitzgerlad and Yvonne Francesconi; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Russell F. Smith; two daughters, Karol Faasse and Barbara Lizicki; as well as all six of her siblings, Anne Coyne, Jacqueline Clark, Mildred Brooks, Edward Frey, Frank Frey and Ernest Frey. The family will receive relatives and friends from 3 to 6 pm Tuesday, April 30th at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will take place 10 am Wednesday with the Rev. Kathy Reese officiating. Interment will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd; Schuylerville, NY, 12871. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.brbsfuneral.com
