Heaven once again gained an angel. On Saturday, May 23, our Mother Margie (Dimitra) journeyed to meet with her husband Don and her son Thimios, her sister Kalomira, and her brother Nicky, who preceded her in death. Margie's (Dimitra) legacy that she leaves for us to carry on is her love of family, friends, and God. She was a vibrant, caring, and wonderful Mother, Aunt, Grandmother (Yia Yia), Great Grandmother (Yia-Yia-Yia), and Godmother. Marge (Dimitra) is survived by 6 of her 7 children and their spouses; George & Linda, Jimmy & Donna, Dino & Lisette, Donna & James, Mary Linda & Barry, Marika & Gino, as well as 13 beloved grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, God children, nieces and nephews, and countless friends whom she loved and cherished. Born in Baltimore, MD on April 12, 1932 as the first generation of Greek immigrants, Margie (Dimitra) was proud of her heritage and church. Margie and Don, together presented the world with everlasting love and caring for 53 years. Margie (Dimitra) was always surrounded by her loving family and her life was wholly devoted to her family, friends, and church family at St Katherine's. She retired from Marshall Manufacturing in 1999, a job that she loved and valued as one of her many extended families. Margie (Dimitra) has left us all with memories of her love of life, love of family, and most of all, her love of God. Mother, time nor distance will ever diminish the love between us. We are and always have been a heartbeat away. We find peace in knowing that you are simply in another room waiting for us. Rest in peace of knowing how much you were loved beyond measure by all of us. Visitation will be at Beckman-Williamson Funeral home in Cocoa Beach Wednesday from 6 - 8pm. Services will be held at 10 am Thursday at St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church with interment at Bushnell National Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church building fund.
