A funeral service celebrating the life of Marjorie Brown Carmichael, 85, of Altamonte Springs, FL formerly of Cayce, SC will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Carmichael departed this earthly life on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at her residence in Altamonte Springs, FL. She was born in Leicester, NC on December 17, 1927 to Herman Brown and Edith Robeson Brown. Mrs. Carmichael was a member of Edwards Memorial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and was also a member of the Hidden Valley Country Club. Mrs. Carmichael was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Robert Edwin Carmichael; and two brothers, Donald and James Brown. Those left to cherish her beautiful memories are her daughters, Laura Ellen Nichols of Columbia, SC and Gail Wilks of Altamonte Springs, FL; a son, Michael D. Brown (wife, Laureen) of Burlington, NC; five grandchildren, Kimberly Bodigheimer of Denver, CO, Karen Scheidel (husband, Ron) of Orlando, FL, Edward Robert Bodigheimer of Colorado Springs, CO, Tracy Brown of Pelion, SC and Miller Nichols of Columbia, SC; six great-grandchildren; a brother, George Brown (wife, Pat) of St. Louis, MO; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Edwards Memorial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 1600 Summerland Drive, Cayce, SC 29003 or to a charity of one's choice in Marjorie's memory.
