On Saturday, June 17, 2023, Heaven gained an angel. Marlene Minella Wells, daughter of Minot Carmen and Lou Emma Minella passed away peacefully at Palm Cottages Assisted Living. She was preceeded in death by her husband of 50 years, George Wells who she married on Valentines Day in 1958. They loved to travel and explored variouis countries and even traveled on the Orient Express. Marlene Was a member of Rockledge Presbyterian Church, was a wedding consultant and was active in many clubs around Cocoa and Rockledge including The Spade and Trowel Garden Club. She was also a Pink Lady at Cape Canaveral Hopsital. Marlene was a model for many years and was even honored to be chosen as Miss Cocoa, Florida in the 1950's. Marlene was an avid reader, loved to garden, arrange flowers, decorate, collect and display antiques, shop and socialize. She is survived by her daughter Heather Wells Lee, son in law Jeff Lee, grandaughter Ashley Rouse (Will Rouse) and two great grandchildren. Marlene was very elegant and social and will be missed by many. Her life will be celebrated at Rockledge Presbyterian Church 11:00AM Friday June 23, 2023. Burial will take place privately, one hour prior, in Georgiana Cemetery Merritt Island.
