Martha Janille Clements
November 14th, 1937 - April 2nd, 2023
Martha Janille Clements passed away on April 2nd 2023, in Boise, Idaho. Born on the 14th of November 1937, in Kamiah Idaho, she was the second child of Daniel Edward Young, and Ruth Axie Young (McFarlin). She grew up in Kamiah and graduated from Kamiah High School in 1955. She then attended University of Idaho where she met Ralph Clements. They married in Kamiah on August 18, 1957. They started their marriage in Joplin, MO while Ralph served in the U.S. Military. They moved to Oxbow, Oregon, then Meridian, ID and Eagle, ID where they raised their six children. Janille was a housewife and stay-at-home mom who was active in her children’s activities and had a passion for sewing and baking. She enjoyed sewing clothes for her children, nieces, and granddaughters. In addition, she made quilts and enjoyed sewing Raggedy Ann dolls and American Girl doll clothes. She was known for her apple and lemon meringue pies and enjoyed making cinnamon rolls to share with friends and family. For more than 40 years, she bowled in the Meridian Bowling league, enjoying the friendly competition and travelling with her teammates to a variety of bowling tournaments. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ralph. She is survived by her older brother Don Young, and younger sister Dianne Marshall and husband Floyd. Also, survived by her children: Daughters, Sheryl Joplin, Boise, ID; Lou Ann Watson and husband Mike, Lewiston, ID; Laurie Parker and husband David, Boise, ID; Susan Kelly and husband Tim, Meridian, ID; Carolyn Benik and husband Chris, Parker, CO and son Loren Clements and wife, Stacy, Maple Valley WA. In addition to her children, she is survived by her grandchildren, Casey Joplin, Cody Joplin, Brett Watson, Bailey Roth, Courtney Kelly, Sarah Kelly, Janey Kelly, Kamryn Clements, Kaylon Clements, Isaac Clements, Kelsey Parker, Audrey Parker, Alyssa Benik, and Ashlyn Benik. In addition, 4 great grandchildren, Emery Joplin, Ruby Joplin, Asher Joplin and Hallie Janille Roth.
