Mary L. Pacheco

Mary was born on March 27, 1940, in Greeley, Colorado, to Ruby (Morales) and Manuel Martinez. Mary passed away on September 8, 2024, after a long, arduous 16-year battle with cancer.

 Mary was raised in Greeley and lived there until she met Phillip Pacheco. They married and had three children as well as raising children from Phillip’s first marriage. Phillip and Mary purchased a house in Pierce, Colorado, where their children would grow and eventually their grandchildren would visit often. Mary worked in childcare, managing her in-home daycare for many years. She touched the hearts of many people and dedicated much of her time to the children she cared for. Later in life, Phillip and Mary divorced, and Mary moved to Greeley to be with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In 2008, Mary was diagnosed with carcinoid cancer. In 2011, she moved to Johnstown, Colorado, where she lived with her granddaughter, Cassey, and her great grandchildren.

 Mary is survived by her children, Phyllis Pacheco (Jeff Wall) and Phillip Pacheco Jr. She is also survived by her stepchildren Sandra Salazar and Cordell Pacheco, along with numerous grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Jenny Martinez, Cruz Alarcon, David Pargas (Lisa), Joe Pargas (Celeste) and Dee Johnson (Mark). Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Yvonne Parker and Nancy Godinez, her grandson Donovan Cordova, a sister Victoria Trujillo and a brother Jimmy Martinez.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 6pm at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80534. 

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 19, 11am at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1000 County Acres Drive, Johnstown, CO 80534

Reception to follow burial back at St John the Baptist in Johnstown
