JOHNSTON, Maxine Law, 84, of Land O’ Lakes, entered into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, July 25, 2007. A fourth generation Floridian, she was born in Live Oak, FL on August 27, 1922, but was a lifelong resident and true pioneer of the Land O’ Lakes area of Pasco County. She was a caring daughter & sister, devoted wife, Godly mother and nurturing grandmother. A faithful servant of Christ, she was a lifetime Southern Baptist and dedicated member of Myrtle Lake Baptist Church and the Young at Heart Group. She was an active member of the Lutz/Land O’ Lakes Women’s Club, Pasco County Historical Society, CARES Senior Center, and a volunteer election poll worker for many years. She lovingly drove a school bus for Pasco County School Board, retiring after 21 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.L. (Vern) Johnston, parents, W.C. & Zona Law, brother, Thomas W.(Tommy) Law, & sister, Pauline Ferrell. She is survived by her sons, John, Charlie Bill (Chuck), Dale; daughters, Florence Stuart, Mary Lee Johnston, Christine Gayle; sisters, Chloie Collopy, Cleo Kirk, Sharon Law; brother, Curtis Law; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren & many other family & friends. A Funeral Service will be held at Myrtle Lake Baptist Church on Saturday at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at First Baptist Church of Land O’ Lakes Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Loyless Funeral Home on Friday Evening from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
