Michael Angelo Marcello
February 23rd, 1962 - November 3rd, 2021
Michael A. Marcello Passed away on November 3, 2021, at the age of 59, after a 7 year battle with a rare neurodegenerative disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Michael was fortunate to be under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family and close friends in his final days. Michael was born in Buffalo, NY. He attended Pine Bush High school where he excelled in Pole Vaulting and Football. After high school, he moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL to pursue photography at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. While working at Carlos & Pepes, he met the love of his life, Terri and his best life long friends. He went on to a fulfilling career in printing and sales, while maintaining his artistic ability in photography, claymation, painting, and more. He loved fishing with his buddies, and spending weekends in the Keys on fishing trips. His family and friends always felt lucky to have him in the kitchen, effortlessly cooking delicious food for family weeknight dinners as well as every party! He loved building model rockets and launching them with his kids. They grew up with him as the notorious “loudest (and most supportive) Dad” at every sporting event. He never passed up the opportunity for an adventure and always came with his camera around his neck, and backpack full of essentials and snacks! The pride of his life was being an amazing father to Kate and Drew, and a grandfather to their children. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Terri, his children Kate (Ryan) Youngberg, Drew (Corey) Marcello, his grandchildren, Boden, Parker, and Jay, and his Sister, Cheryl and her children. Mike’s Memorial and Celebration of Life service all be held at Kate and Ryan’s home on December 4, 2021 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that a donation be made to the CurePSP foundation (PSP.org) to continue research and support of families affected by this unfortunate disease.
