Michael T. Saj

Michael T. Saj, 57, of Guy Park Avenue, died suddenly September 28, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Born on July 24, 1950 in Amsterdam he was the son of the late Theodore and Irene Saj. He was a life long area resident and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Michael was employed for the Greater Amsterdam School District for over 33 years as a custodian, retiring in the summer of 2005. He was a member of the APA Pool League and enjoyed bowling and playing softball. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. His loving family includes his wife, Johanna ?Ann? Saj; three daughters, Danielle Mansell and her husband Bret of London, England, Jennifer Koch and her husband Jeffrey of the Town of Florida, Gabrielle Saj at home; two sons, Charles Nowicki and his wife Cathy and William Nowicki and hid wife Tonia all of Amsterdam; fourteen grandchildren, Brian, Misty, Michael, Lisa, Heather, Michael, Cheyenne, Victoria, Ashlyn, Josh, Macallister, Dylan, Tyler, Adrianna; five great grandchildren, Katie, Allyssia, Gavin, Devon, Zack; several cousins and friends. His parents and his sister, Josephine Saj, predeceased him. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 11a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with Pastor William Hodgetts Jr. presiding. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 4 until 7 at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.
