Nancy Tomich Bellinger

Nancy T. Bellinger of North Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Manor Care-Belden Village. She was 91. She was the beloved wife of the late William C. Bellinger. They were married for 55 years. Born in Leetonia (near Hibbing) MN, she was the second child of the late John M. Tomich and Barbara D. Lisac Tomich. Her childhood was spent primarily in Carson Lake and Utica, MN. Nancy graduated from Hibbing High School in 1943, and relocated to Washington D.C. where she was employed as support staff at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. There she eventually met her future husband William, followed by their move to Cleveland, Ohio. They ultimately settled in Parma, Ohio to raise their family. Nancy was a lifelong music lover, and always an avid reader. She was a long time member of the local library reading group, where she enjoyed discussing books on a wide range of topics. She also loved to sew, and enjoyed the challenge of a good Bridge game in her younger years. Nancy and her family loved gathering with relatives during their annual trips to Kelly Lake MN and Sandy Run SC for many years. She is survived by a son, William C. Bellinger Jr. and his wife, Kathy of North Canton, OH; two daughters, Carol A. Ayala and her husband, Alfred of Harrisville, RI and Barbara J. Rodenhauser and her husband, Kevin of Oak Harbor, OH. She was the beloved grandmother of six, Elizabeth, Andrew, Megan, Kale, Clay and Cole, and the proud great-grandmother of three, Julia, Adriana and Jonathan. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Primerano of Clayton, NC and Betty Sikich of Burnsville, MN; and her brother, John Tomich and his wife, Grace of Boulder, CO; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 29, at 11:30 a.m. at the Kaigler-Davis Family Cemetery in Sandy Run, SC. Contributions in her memory may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Drive, Suite E, Uniontown, OH 44685. Thompson Funeral at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family.
