Nellie Lee Carpenter
August 5th, 1913 - June 9th, 2007
Nellie Carpenter was born on August 5, 1914. She passed away quietly on June 9, 2007. She was loved by so many people and touched each heart individually. She was known as “The Poetry Lady”. Everywhere you went, someone would know her. Nobody knows how many people she knew that she loved and who loved her. She had so much love to give. Her poems were uplifting and beautiful. Each person could see something of his or herself in her poems. She loved to go to the Kareoke bar and recite her poetry and be around her friends. She loved angels and to her, everyone she met was an angel. She was an angel. Her favorite song was “YOU ARE MY SPECIAL ANGEL”. She loved putting a smile on someone’s face. I know that she received the biggest set of wings. Now she is looking after all the other angels, and, of course, us.
