Orion "MaMa" Legette

Orion Legette “MaMa”, 93, went to be with The Lord on Monday, August 31, 2020, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. MaMa was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. As a true, southern mom, MaMa enjoyed cooking for her family. Of course, what she most loved was spending time with her family and friends. MaMa was also a long-time member of TOPS SC 0145, which she attended weekly with her daughter, Pat. MaMa was predeceased by her husband, Wilson H. Legette, Sr., and her daughter, Rita Reynolds. She is survived by her children, Pat Mizell (JR); Debbie Conley, Stella Veronee, Henry Legette (Mary), Faye Sproul, Marie Stogner (WL), Jennifer Legette (Ellen); eighteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and her much adored cat, Scooter. Mrs. Legette’s home-going service will be held Thursday, September 3, 2020, at 12:00 PM at Living by Faith Baptist Church (2328 Nexton Parkway, Summerville, SC 29486). The family will accept friends one hour prior to the home-going service. MaMa will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services.
