Memorial

Otto Conley, 81, entered his heavenly home on July 1, 2021, after a valiant 3-year battle with cancer. His dedication to God and his family were unwavering. Otto was born to the late Hobert and Frances Rice Conley in Cattletsburg, KY on January 26, 1940. From an early age, he was taught to keep his little hand in God's big hand; as well as the values of respect, integrity and humility. Otto served as a US Air Force Airman First Class (1958-1962). In 1969, he answered the call to serve in Christian ministry. Following his graduation from Cincinnati Bible Seminary in 1974, Otto served as minister of several churches in Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia, and North Carolina. July 29, 1961, marked the start of his lifelong commitment as a faithful husband when he married Dottie Blair Conley in Ashland, KY. Otto and Dottie later welcomed 3 daughters: Vallarie, Stephanie, and Crystal. Otto taught his daughters the importance of a relationship with Christ first and foremost. Values of love and dedication to family, integrity in all things, and a strong work ethic followed. Sharing the Gospel message in word and song was his passion. Throughout his ministry he also engaged in work as a licensed contractor as well as a licensed real estate broker. It was not uncommon for him to share the Gospel message while at the work site. Otto is survived by his wife, Dottie; his daughters and sons-in-law, Kent and Vallarie Massey, Matthews, NC, Chris and Stephanie Elmer, Fletcher, NC, and Davon and Crystal Huss, Cincinnati, OH; grandsons, Ian Elmer, Alex Huss, Andy Huss, Zach Huss, and Zane Huss; great grandson, Titus Elmer; his sister, Geraldine Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Bythel Franklin Conley, Ronald Gene Conley, Hobert Conley, Jr., Bobby Ray Conley; his sisters, Alberta Skaggs, Iris Marie Porter, and Agnes Lee Lyons. Visitation will be held at Providence Road Church of Christ, Charlotte, NC, Saturday, July 10, 2021. Visitation 12:15pm - 1:15pm. The memorial service will begin at 1:30pm.
