Paul Jesus Lopez, 46, a corporate consultant and public affairs strategist, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018. A fourth-generation Arizonan of Mexican-American descent, he was born in Phoenix, Arizona on June 2, 1972. Paul is survived by a loving family; his wife of 13 years, Hilda Elizabeth, and their daughter Ava Giselle; his parents Ronnie and Angie and brother Marcos Antonio. Paul exemplified integrity in life, was selfless, and driven by a strong commitment to community service and social justice. He was the founder and CEO of The Endeavor Agency, a government relations and public affairs agency. Paul was involved in political activities from a young age serving as president of the Young Democrats and went on to provide leadership to many successful candidates and initiative campaigns at the local, state and federal level. He was a president of MECHA, a member of Valley Leadership, and the Hispanic Leadership Institute. His expertise in the areas of policy, campaigns and elections became highly sought after by community leaders and decision makers. Paul enjoyed an active lifestyle and was an avid sports fan, jogger and golfer. He volunteered his time and sat on the board of numerous organizations. Most recently he was a board member of the Dougherty Foundation. Paul attended Arizona State University and the University of Phoenix where he earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Management. In 2003, Paul was named one of the Phoenix Business Journal's "40 Under 40" business leaders. Paul enriched the lives of everyone he met and will be forever remembered by his family, friends and colleagues for his beautiful heart, contagious smile, infectious laugh and boundless energy. His devotion to his faith, family and career were the principles by which he lived his life: God first, family second, and career third. Memorial services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Avenue in Phoenix on Saturday, August 4. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Rosary 10:00 a.m. Funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment immediately following at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix. Family reception at St. Francis Xavier Anderson Hall, 4715 N. Central Avenue from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Arrangements will be handled by Samaritan Funeral Home, 1505 E. McDowell Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85006. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a cause that is very dear to the Lopez family, Martin Miracles, a local organization providing support to children with learning differences.
