Pete Filiatrault - 85 Passed away on November 15th,2023 in Tucson Arizona. He was born on October 31st, 1938 in Fondulac, Wisconsin to the late Arthur D and Clare (Thornton) Filiatrault. His family moved to Tucson Arizona when he was 12. He was a wonderful Husband to his wife Nancy and they were married for over 64 years. He was a loving Father to his children Deborah (deceased), Leisa and Jeanette. He Graduated from University of Arizona with a Degree in Business plus a background major in accounting. He worked as accountant for several years. He also held a real estate license as a broker and had his own real estate company at one time. Before retirement he last sold new homes for Estes Homes in the Midvale Park development. Pete had lots of fun raising his family and helping the community with Uptown and Tucson Optimist clubs. He was instrumental in helping to form the nonprofit Friends of Agua Caliente in 1993 whose purpose is the preservation of the historic grounds, lakes and buildings on the former Agua Caliente Ranch. In doing so he helped saved the Historic Ranch House, Bunkhouse and the Pink Cottage at Agua Caliente Park by getting them designated on the National Register of Historical Places. There will be a “Celebration of Life” at Saint Thomas in the Foothills on January 5th, 2024 at 10:30am in the Chapel. 5150 N Valley View Rd, Tucson, AZ 85718 Pete’s memorial in lieu flowers can be made in his name to The Friends of Agua Caliente Park https://friendsofaguacaliente.org/donate/ or the Tucson Optimist Club.
