Raymond Lyle Minard

Raymond Lyle Minard, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2023, at the age of 80. Born on May 3, 1943, to George and Mildred (Day) Minard in Oaks, N. Dakota (Dickey County). In 1956, the family relocated to Yuba City, CA, where Ray and his two brothers were raised. He attended local schools, graduating from YCHS, Class of '61. Ray's favorite pastimes were spending as much time as possible at Lake Englebright (Narrows) on his houseboat, camping or anything with family and friends. He purchased his first boat at the age of 16 and his love of being near the water never faded. We all will miss his wonderful smile and the way he made everything more fun. Survivors include his wife, Dellavon Zoller-Minard of Yuba City, CA; his brother, Curt Minard (Sharon) of Sacramento, CA; 3 children: Sean (Heather) Minard and Shaylene Minard of Yuba City, CA and April Patterson (Billy) of Live Oak, CA; stepchildren: Richard "Brent" Zoller of Sacramento, CA, Chad Zoller of Colusa, CA and Daniel Zoller (Cathy) of Yuba City, CA; 9 grandchildren: Colin, Chole, Mia Minard; William, Bradly, Heidi Patterson; and Lauren, Cierra and Jackson Zoller. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mildred Minard; and his brother, Jerry Minard. The family suggests donations to favorite charities. There will be a "Celebration of Life" at the Yuba City Moose Lodge, 205 S. Walton on November 30, 2023, at 3 PM.
