Regina S. Pawlak
November 29th, 1917 - July 11th, 2005
Regina S. Pawlak, 87, of Cornell Street, passed away Monday morning at the Sleepy Hollow Manor in Annandale VA. She had been living with her daughter and son in law in Virginia since 2000. Born in Amsterdam on November 29, 1917, she was the last surviving child of Walter and Carrie Fabiszewska Kowalski. She was a graduate of St. Stanislaus? Elementary School. A sewing machine operator, she worked for Brookshire Shirt Company, Hanover Dress and lastly Mohawk Dress, Inc., retiring in 1980. Regina was a communicant of St. Stanislaus? Roman Catholic Church and for many years sang in the Padarewski Choir. Her daughter, Joan G. Bubniak and her husband Robert of Annandale, Virginia, and granddaughters Alison Bubniak and Erica Jones survive as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Regina was predeceased by her infant son, Philip Pawlak Jr. in 1939; and sisters, Jane Kowalski, Irene Galusha, Gertrude Kowalski, Ann Checca, Helen Kartner and Dorothy Taber. Funeral services are Saturday at 8:45 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 am at St. Stanislaus? Church by Fr. Pascal Iannotti. Interment is in St. Stanislaus? Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday evening from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church, 50 Cornell Street, Amsterdam 12010.
