Richard Barker McKee
January 31st, 1925 - January 20th, 2018
Richard Barker McKee, age 92, of Arvada, Colorado passed away Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at Cedars Healthcare Center in Lakewood. A native of he was the son of Merle McKee and Elsie Brauer . Richard was a veteran of the serving in the US Navy. He is survived by his daughter Sherry, his son Dick and step-daughter Kathie. Richard had 6 grandchildren, 5 great Grand children and 3 great-great grandchildren. Richard worked for the City of Golden in Street Maintenance for 15 years before retiring in 1985. He also served the community of Golden as a Volunteer Fireman for twenty years (1963-1983), and was a Captain for three of those years. Richard coached several Golden softball teams. Little League girls, women's, men's, co-ed and seniors. Many of those won several championships under his coaching leadership. His favorite hobby was fishing. And oh by the way he even played a little golf in his time. Memorial Services will be held Monday, January 29th, 2018, at 1:00 pm in Aspen Memorial Chapel 1350 Simms St. Lakewood, CO 80401.
