Robert D. Gabbert (Bob), 72, of Limon, CO, passed away on or about September 14, 2018 at his home. A private burial service will be at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island, IL, at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Juvenile Diabetes. Bob was born April 24, 1946 in Galesburg, IL, the son of Dewaine and Madeline Gabbert. He graduated from Rock Island High School, Class of 1964. He attended Blackhawk Community College, Moline, IL. Bob was never married. Bob worked at International Harvester, Rock Island, IL. and he also worked in the construction trades in the Quad-Cities, IL and Denver, CO. Bob loved the outdoors, hunting, and skiing. Bob is survived by a sister, Roslyn along with five nieces, Terese, Janice, Christine, Julie and Judie; two grand nephews, Jake and Christian; five grand nieces, Elizabeth, Madeline, Grace, Faith, and Tora. He had many good neighbors and friends.
