Robert Francis Gress was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 26, 1976 and passed away on March 5, 2021 in Orlando, FL. He is overwhelmingly loved and will be agonizingly missed and survived by his wife-Sherrie Ann Gress, Daughter-Gabrielle Marie Gress, Son-Zachary Tyler Gress, almost Son-in-Law-Dustin Shane Turner, Zachary’s girlfriend-Kailynn McKenzie Hernandez and Dogs-Holly, Bear and Rein. He is and always will be, the most loved father and husband, and shared so much love with all of us. He is Sherrie’s soulmate and the other half of her heart, which was ripped apart in anguish by his passing. He is a very loving, devoted husband and absolute best friend of Sherrie Gress, who cannot wait to see him again, one day, and spend eternity with him. He is an extremely loving and devoted father to all of his children and was always there for every moment and milestone in their lives. He loved his dogs very much and would have done anything possible to keep them happy and healthy. He encouraged all of us to be a success and made it all possible through his hard work, perseverance, and dedication to his family. Sherrie and Robert are only 44 years old and had 25 wonderful years of marriage, since they were 18 years old, and were inseparable. His passing will be torture in our hearts for the rest of our earthly days, and the pain will only cease with our passing, in which we will be able to be with him once again forever. Robert was a Boy Scout leader for our son’s troop, a bowling coach for our children’s bowling league (which he himself bowled the coveted 300 game) and helped our daughter in her mentoring of Young Eagles Flying group for children. Robert excelled and earned highest honors throughout is education, in which he achieved his master’s in education, multiple bachelor and associate degrees. He had earned his private pilot license with multiengine instrument rating and was working on his commercial license. He loved to fly helicopters as well. He was a very charitable person and helped many people in their times of need. Robert was a Real Estate Instructor, Mentor and Coach. Robert tried valiantly to serve our country, in the army, in which he was medically discharged, against his will, due to extreme asthma. He worked extremely hard and put in long hours which contributed to his success. This was not done for himself, but always for his family, as he himself was incredibly happy with the simple things in life, most of all, always having his family around him. He eagerly looked forward to seeing all our children become wonderful adults, and will miss many things such as their marriages, successes, and most of all grandchildren. Sherrie and Robert have been robbed of their dream of growing old together, in a cabin in a winter wonderland, and being able to love each other immensely for many years to come. Christmas was Robert’s favorite time of year, which we celebrated for months, and it will never be the same for us ever again without him. He was a sunshine in our lives, that will never shine again, until we can be with him again one day, in our own passing.
