Memorial service for Robert Edward Lee Ford, 69, of Lexington, SC, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073 Mr. Ford passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016. He was a son of the late Mary Marshall Ford and Lester Thomas Ford. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas William Ford (Beth) of Lexington. He was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather (Papaw) and uncle. Surviving are his wife of 49 beautiful years, Katherine Ford of Lexington; two daughters, Tammy and Stephanie, both of Lexington; along with four grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren whom he absolutely adored. Loved and cherished by many, he will forever be dearly missed. For those who wish, the family has asked that donations be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. 2600 Network Blvd, Suite 300 Frisco, TX 75034, in honor of his mother.
